A Mashy, Squishy Potato Party with Maryam Huq

Southbank Centre

Belvedere Road, SE1 8XX

£14

Illustrator Maryam Huq and publisher Rumana Yasmin lead a fun and flavoursome event celebrating the new children’s book Bhorta Bhorta Baby!

Part of Imagine Children's Festival

In an interactive feast for the senses, children and parents learn all about the popular Bengali potato dish, bhorta.

Learn how this delicious dish is prepared and practise the cooking actions altogether (chop! fry! bubble!).

Children create a colourful bhorta-themed artwork and you can take home a special recipe card, so you recreate the dish in your own kitchen.

To top it all off, Yasmin is generously sharing her homemade bhorta for everyone to taste.

Come along and tickle your taste buds!
