Family Celebration Day: A Museum Takeover

Museum of the Home

136 Kingsland Rd, E2 8EA

Free

Join us on the opening weekend of our new gallery for a Museum takeover for all the family, exploring the many meanings of home!

Home can look like many things: a place, a feeling, people, objects, memories and more. For this special family day on the opening weekend of our new gallery Rooms Through Time: 1878-2049, we're exploring the meaning of family and celebrating the diverse ways that people make home.

Make your own lottery ticket heirlooms to take away, hear stories, connect through music and record your own story of home. Engage in creative workshops and enjoy open play spaces, live music, delicious food stalls, and performances throughout the Museum.

We'll be introducing new galleries reflecting the histories, homes and people that make up our East London community in July. Come and check out the new interactive galleries for yourself!
