Grooving with Pirates

Southbank Centre

Belvedere Road, SE1 8XX

14 Feb 2024 - 15 Feb 2024

£10.50 - £14

Come on a swashbuckling adventure with family favourites the Groove Baby Organ Trio and sail the high seas in an exciting jazz- and funk-fuelled show.

Part of Imagine Children's Festival

Designed especially for 3- to 7-year-olds, Grooving with Pirates follows three pirate friends on a dangerous mission to find some treasure, in an experience combining animation and live action.

Along the way, meet monsters and mermaids, join in with musical challenges and get a chance to strut your stuff on the gangplank, with Groove Baby creating a non-stop groove – from electro jungle rhythms to Blue Note soul jazz, via infectious pop themes – to get everyone on their feet.

Created in 2013 to give parents the opportunity to experience concert hall-quality music in a child-friendly environment, Grooving with Pirates has developed into a unique – and definitely cool – form of musical theatre event, featuring standout musicians from the UK jazz and contemporary circuit.
