In this sensory and creative session inspired by the Citi exhibition China's hidden century, under fives and their parents and carers can immerse themselves in exquisite imagery, find interesting animals and experience the noises and colours of the court. There will be creative and multi-sensory experiences inspired by the opera, theatre and drama of the court.
This event is part of the public programme accompanying the Citi exhibition China's hidden century at the British Museum (18 May – 8 October).
This event is free to drop into at any time between 10.30 and 12.00. To get to the Clore Centre for Education in the lower levels, take the stairs going down on the east side of the Great Court. See the map for more information. You're advised to book a free timed ticket(Opens in new window) to enter the Museum. The Main entrance is on Great Russell Street. Your timed ticket allows you to explore the permanent collection afterwards. See the Visit page for more information.

There are a limited number of on-site parking spaces available for visitors to the Museum who have a Blue Badge. There are self-operable lifts near the entrance. Manual wheelchairs are available to pre-book free of charge for your visit. Mobility scooters are welcome and permitted inside the Museum. Most lifts in the Museum are wheelchair accessible, have audio announcements and include braille signage.
Service, assistant and emotional support animals – including assistant dogs in training – are welcome at the Museum.
