24 March Drawn to Nature: What if insects ruled the world? with Sol Golden-Sato
“The natural world is not just the space that we inhabit. And for children, it is a space of wonder. A space in which they can think through the very question of what it means to be human.”Pitzhanger’s park and public garden is a great opportunity for engaging both adults and children. No subject is too small or too broad to be inspired by. Throughout this workshop we will immerse ourselves in the centre of our subject, insects.
In this workshop we will go outside to observe insects. Discuss insects. The idea is to provide an opportunity for children to share and create art from their world to enhance the power of their imagination!
Drop in from 10:30am – 12:30pm in the Education Room.
31 March Transforming Dates into Meaning: Crafting your 2024 Calendar
In this workshop presented by bookliner publishing and education and Kongtinue, you will count up your life in numbers, such as how many days you have been in the world, how much time you have spent in bed, and how many heart beats you have experienced so far. Using this information, you will create your own 2024 calendar, giving meaning to each number.
Drop in from 10:30am – 12:30pm in the Education Room.
