What is Planet Play?

Planet Play is our colourful, theatrical sensory experience for babies and toddlers aged 0–3 and their grown-ups. Created by our experienced early years team the same team behind Tales from the Shed. It’s a space where children lead the way, exploring music, stories, puppets and play in their own time and their own way.

Designed to support early communication and development through creativity, Planet Play encourages little ones to grow in confidence, connect with others and feel part of something special. With no edge of the stage and no pressure to sit still, children are free to engage however they choose in a warm, welcoming environment.

Songs and rhymes are a key part of the experience. Research shows that singing regularly helps widen a child’s vocabulary and listening skills essential foundations for learning to read, write and communicate.
