Belvedere Road, SE1 8XX

Free

Sing and rhyme along at this free Imagine Children’s Festival edition of the National Poetry Library’s popular session for under-5s led by poet and author Chitra Soundar.

Part of Imagine Children's Festival

Are you ready to climb the mountains of the Western Ghats and venture into the deep dark forest to meet Pattan, his wife Kanni and the amazing pumpkin that grew outside their house?

Join author Chitra Soundar to flap like a firefly, float inside a pumpkin and sing familiar nursery rhymes with new tunes as she narrates the story of Pattan’s pumpkin that grew bigger and bigger and bigger!

Soundar brings you the legend of the Irular tribe, from the Sahayadri mountains. In this entertaining and interactive session, join with your little ones to sing along, move and find out more about pumpkins from all over the world.
