Everyone loves the stories about Elmer the patchwork elephant – whether he’s pretending to be an ordinary grey elephant or playing a practical joke. But has anyone ever actually seen him?
Can you help find him? Is that a patchwork trunk hidden among the trees and bushes of the jungle?
The enchanting and colourful world of Elmer is brought to life through songs, storytelling and puppetry by Tall Stories, the company who brought you The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom live on stage – for everyone aged 3 and up.
Celebrate Elmer’s unique patchwork colours and wear all your colourful clothes when you see the show.
This event is a Relaxed Performance (RP). Relaxed Performances have a relaxed approach to noise and movement in the space, and you are free to enter and exit during the performances. A chill-out space and noise-cancelling headphones are available for both adults and children. There are no adjustments to sound and lighting for these performances, and this show contains amplified sound, flashing lights (not strobe), and haze. The performances at 2pm on Thursday 31 October and 1pm on Saturday 2 November are British Sign Language Interpreted (BSL). To book tickets for BSL interpretation, email accesslist@southbankcentre.co.uk or call us on 020 3879 9555. Interpretation is by Jeni Draper (subject to change).
