The museum tells the story of postal communication and its impact on global society, with opportunities to ride through hidden tunnels and discover a unique piece of industrial heritage.
Kids will love exploring the inspiring exhibitions, which are packed with incredible objects and exciting stories, as well as the fun-filled interactive displays.
The museum offers a jam-packed programme of free holiday activities, Post and Play, new term time play sessions for under 5s, the chance to take an underground ride on Mail Rail, and play in Sorted! Postal Play Space.

Snacks and refreshments in the café, conveniently located in the Welcome Space.
The cafe has highchairs. No buggies or pushchairs allowed on the lower ground floor of Mail Rail. Limited buggy parking is available in Mail Rail only, on the ground floor. Breastfeeding and bottle feeding are welcome anywhere. For a bit more privacy, the First Aid Room in Mail Rail can be used to feed your baby if not in use.
The Postal Museum and Mail Rail exhibitions are completely accessible to wheelchair users. Wheelchairs are permitted everywhere in Mail Rail except for the Mail Rail Ride.
