From 1872 to 1914, postal workers could be awarded good conduct stripes to celebrate their good deeds and hard work. These gold coloured lace bar stripes would be carefully stitched to a jacket for all to see.
Inspired by a good deed you have done to help a friend, a pet or perhaps the planet, design or embroider your own stripes or patch to celebrate your achievement.
